Hate's Hatchet JobThere's regret, that remorse, that inability to erase her hurt, cultivated so long ago,Hate's Hatchet Job
There's self-pity, that self-loathing, that aversion to stop hating myself, latched onto so long ago,
I need to reassure her, to soothe her anguish, yet those feet of clay
they stay, turned to concrete,
Thus it always ends, Me ruing every single day, that pathetic excuse of a weak-willed resolve,
I can live with all the hurt and regret, accumulated over the years, but what of her,
She deserves not, That infli

Broken Mirror
A shawl covered the cracked mirror. She couldn't bear to look into it. All she knew was that she was not a princess and this was no fairytale. She turned away, disillusioned. No one would ever love her. Inside her heart, fragile, delicate things broke and left sharp edges that dug into her. ReflectionMemories cast upon a polished surface, Projecting back what is truth.Reflection
Thoughts rippling on a fluid representation, Altering, just slightly, what is reality.
Emotions distorted, twisted by interpretation, Of witness. Creating an illusion.
A soul in flux to it's creator. Changing to be one, refusing the conformation.
Inevitably created in His image... A reflection of eternity.

MaskA smile conceals the wounds so deep, Outside you laugh, inside you weep, At night you cry yourself to sleep, Upon a bed of broken dreams.Mask
A tainted world of hate and lies, Where love is gone, and laughter dies, This rotten world before your eyes, Is it as bad as what it seems?
Beneath the mask, it's black like sin, But if we dig down deep within, A beam of light, though weak and thin, A ray of hope through darkness gleams.

Each man kills the thing he loves. -Oscar Wilde
The hawk on fire hangs still. Dilly dilly, calls the loft hawk, come and be killed. Dilly dilly, come let us die.
it's those stupid things we say in the rain, the words that can't ever be washed away.

You fill me up with an everlasting joy.
A joy that calls upon butterflies,
That flutter away with my despair.
Through the window that was once hidden behind curtains,
That now let in the sun~
